Over the many years of showing people houseboats, one thing has always been obvious, we are all different, with different likes, expectations and needs. What appeals to one person does not always appeal to another, thanks heavens we are all different. However, one thing is common amongst all, we all love what the magic of Lake Eildon provides for our families. We all seek our way to embrace this magic and create those special memories with our families that will last a lifetime. This is why it is important to consider the considerable benefits Salisbury offers. Salisbury may have a different layout to the norm, but there are many, many positives worth considering. Importantly, Salisbury has the Rear Lounge with side Kitchen. Using American design concepts, she has three bedrooms including a Master with a king-sized Bed with Ensuite. Then there is the bunkroom for the young cousins to share when they all come to visit (with 2 x triple bunks). This leaves room for a front dining setting and the rear lounge with the large extended duckboard with water stair to enjoy the experience on the water. The upstairs area on Salisbury is a feature. Here you can lounge on the sun/day beds and take in the beautiful sunshine or the magnificent chandelier of stairs at night time. Sip a cocktail or two on the rear lounges as you watch the fading sun’s rays dance on the water at sunset. Just imagine sitting up to the servery/bar/kitchenette to enjoy a breakfast of eggs and bacon freshly cooked on the BBQ. But most of all, you will remember sitting down to the great dinners with far too many wines as the sunsets and the stars emerge into the brilliant night sky. Yes, I have painted a picture of the many special memories you can create on Salisbury, but what about the houseboat itself??? Very few houseboats on Lake Eildon come with what Salisbury has!! Salisbury was built by Stardust Cruisers in Monticello, USA and had to meet the very exacting safety standards of the American Coast Guard. Look at the photos of the Electricity Circuit Board and the Water Pipes Isolation Valves. Then there is the ESV Gas Compliance Plate. This all carries through to the minimum maintenance requirements on Salisbury. The Hull is Aluminium, not steel; she will not rust. Composite Aluminium has been used for the external cladding. On Lake Eildon according the GMW Houseboat Regulations houseboats have to come out of the water every 5 to 7 years to have their pontoons or hulls serviced then inspected. With Salisbury having a aluminium hull the only reason to bring the houseboat out of the water is to service the motor legs. The maintenance costs are comparatively much less compared to other houseboats with Salisbury. Further pluses with Salisbury; the owners fitted keels to the hull. This with the Bow Thruster and twin Motors make her relatively easy to manoeuvre. Salisbury has very good solar electrics with the large capacity Magnum Inverter/Charger System, good house batteries and plenty of solar panels. These are backed up by a large 13Kva Westerbeke Generator. We are all different, with different preferences and likes. We all love the magic of Lake Eildon. I urge you to look closely at Salisbury as with all the positives she provides you might be surprised and fall in love with her.
