High definition is the AVR500's middle name. It also decodes thenew HD Audio formats from Dolby and DTS making it perfect for use with the latest Blu-ray players. With 100 watts per channel of amplification, there's also plenty of power on tap for the most demanding of soundtracks. There are also analogue video inputs including component video and S-video, and with upconversion and upscaling of all inputs to HDMI and 1080p resolutions, whatever you watch, it will look at its best on your HD display.
