New 4-10 ton (50mm/45mm pin) Excavator Mechanical Spring Quick Hitch Coupler

DESCRIPTION

New Excavator Mechanical Quick Hitch Coupler to suit 4-10 Ton machines. Designed for Caterpillar 416D / 416E / 428 C3 Linkage / 432 C3 Linkage / 438 C3 Linkage etc. but will fit other machines (see below list of machines we have found so far). With some modifications this Hitch could also be setup as an all-45mm pin or all-50mm pin setup (details below).

Want a quick hitch but don't have any spare auxiliary hydraulic lines for a hydraulic hitch? This hitch is identical to a hydraulic hitch setup except you lever the rear pin clasp open and closed with a 16mm diameter rod that compresses the spring.

There is no need to pull either of the pins out of your buckets and try to line up the bucket holes with the hitch holes (like a half hitch requires). Instead you simply hook the hitch into your bucket's front pin just like a full hydraulic hitch, then lever the rear spring open and close the coupling over the bucket's rear pin. The Red pole (pictured) locks the mechanism from moving during use.

The 16.56mm hole that the lever rod goes into is at the end of a round bar poking out the side of the hitch and can be seen in pics# 3 & 5).
Please note! the lever rod is not supplied, but you just need a 16mm-16.5mm pole (preferably solid or thick walled) around 30-50cm long (we used a 300mm extension bar from a 1/2" socket set, works fine).

It is New and well engineered. We have also greased all the nipples so it is ready to work.

***** Current Headstock Setup:
* Pin Size:
* - Front Pin: 50mm.
* - Rear Pin: 45mm.
* Pin Center to Pin Center (CtoC): 345mm.
* Upper Between the Ears (BTE) where your machine's Dipper Arm goes in the hitch:
* - Front Pin: 256mm Between the Ear Plates.
* - Rear Pin: 210mm Between the inside Ear Bosses (which can be shaved back up to 256mm between the Ear Plates if you need more inside width for your excavator's dipper arm to fit in).
* Lower Between the Ears (BTE) where the hitch sits in your bucket:
* - Front Pin area: 251mm width (but there are extra gap-filler spacing plates welded on, so these can be shaved back down to 202mm if you need a narrower width to fit it in your bucket).
* - Rear Pin area: 202mm width.

* Should fit: Caterpillar 416D / 416E / 428 C3 Linkage / 432 C3 Linkage / 438 C3 Linkage.

* Maybe fit: Case 528 and possibly other machines with similar pin spacings.

***** As an all-45mm Pin Configuration:
* (mill 50mm front pin down to 45mm in the middle and all the way to one end (leave one end 50mm, then insert 50mm OD / 45mm ID bush into one side of the hitch boss. You could also weld in some 2.5mm thick curved steel into the front hook if you want to snug up the grabbing of the front pin):

* Should fit: JCB 805-2 / 806-2 / 8052 / 8060 / 8080ZTS / 3CX / 3CX std w/o G65 Bush / 4CX, Terex TX750 / TX760 / TX860.
