MATCHING NUMBERS, ORIGINAL RIGHT HAND DRIVE

Introduced in October of 1964 the Updated Series I, 4.2 E-Type Succeeded the Original 3.8, with it’s Enlarged Capacity (3781cc – 4236cc), the New E-Type Gained 23 lb.ft of Torque, had Improved Cooling & Inlet Manifolds, Marked the Move to the use of an Alternator, Negative Earth, a Vacuum Brake Booster, More Luxurious and Comfortable Seats, and Importantly the Full Synchro 4 Speed Gearbox.

This Original Right Hand Drive E-Type Series I FHC is One of Only 1583 Two Seater Right Hand Drive Series 1 Fixed Head Coupes Produced and According to the Identification Plate still Retains the Original Engine.

The E-Type now Presents in a Light Blue Metallic Highlighted by Chrome Wire Wheels and Iconic Brightwork. The Interior Features a Combination of Navy Blue Shades through: the Carpets, Sill Covers, Doorcards, Console, Rear Luggage Compartment and the More Recently Re-Trimmed Front Seats, Contrasted by the Light Beige Head Lining and Lovely Original Style Wood Rimmed Steering Wheel.

There have been a number of Mechanical Modifications, which Include: 3 Individual RamFlo Air Filters, ‘Coopercraft International’ Billet Aluminium 4 Piston Front Calipers with matched Zinc Plated Steel Rear Calipers, Koni Shock Absorbers Front & Rear, Electronic Ignition with a Lucas A8M Amplifier and an Extra, Thermatic Cooling Fan.

The E-Type Drives Exceptionally Well with the 4 Speed All-Synchro Gearbox Providing a Well Spread set of Ratios, Allowing You the Full Use of the 4.2 Litre Jaguar engines Factory Rated 265HP and 283 lb.ft of torque, while having the Confidence in the Uprated Braking System Enticing You to Drive This Jaguar as it was Intended.

The Last Known Service was Completed by Jaguar Independent Specialists ‘Downshire Motors’ at an Odometer Reading of 03,924miles, with the E-Type Now Showing Just 07,052 miles it is Performing Superbly.
