Track Faylen, bossing the gang in Yeagers absence, threatened to kill Floyds wife, Polly, if Yeager went to jail. Floyd called the gangs bluff and made it to prison. Two things happened, Polly Lander was murdered and Bat Yeager broke out of jail. Floyd had to swallow his grief and checking his gun he went out on a manhunt.
