Fighting an attraction to the hero's son Christian, who is engaged to be married, she resents his mother's attempts to ensnare Tony while accusing Juliet of flirting. The next day, the Dedication of the Memorial is disrupted by a latecomer. After he is led away, Tony tells the assembly what really happened to Martin.
