Y Frame for Grand Piano

DESCRIPTION

Heavy duty Grand Piano steel Y frame with non marking, lockable rubber castors.

When moving a Grand Piano around it has the potential to cause damage to the piano, the flooring and can throw the piano out of tune. Whilst grand piano legs are adequate to hold the piano up, they are made from wood and have no reinforcement. When moving a Grand Piano on the stock metal castors, the piano has a tendency to shake, which can weaken the timber legs whilst throwing the piano out of tune.

The benefit of a steel Y frame for a Grand Piano decreases the amount of effort required to pivot and move the piano, minimising the tuning effects from vibration due to the rubber castors, and is much safer for those moving the piano. As the Y frame has heavy duty locking rubber castors, the weight of the piano is distributed over a larger surface area, and being rubber, does not mark or damage flooring.
