An ideal connectivity solution for a home theatre system, the Marantz AV7701 AV 7.2 Channel Pre-amplifier helps you make the most of Blu-ray players, turntables, and other entertainment devices. When paired with suitable amplifiers, this pre-amplifier delivers immersive and faithful surround sound performance across 7.2 channels. It also features 4K up-scaling , so you can enjoy HD video content from normal DVDs.

Overview:

Not only does the AV7701 perfectly and expertly handle high resolution audio formats, it also streams music from many network devices, including PC, Internet radio & Android devices as well as AirPlay from iTunes and iDevices. Superb quality is assured because all audio signals are fed into the Digital Signal Processor (DSP) via its own unique a path. This ensures that all channels are kept completely separate and that there is no chance of interfering channel crosstalk.
In addition, the 7.2 channel AV7701 further enhances audio quality by delicately handling all signals via the Marantz HDAMs in Current Feedback topology before being passed to the XLR outputs and separate power amp. The AV7701 also takes supreme care of 3D and HD video signals via the seven HDMI inputs, even in stand-by mode, and sends them to the two HDMI output sockets or independently to the third HDMI output thats dedicated for Multiroom application. Lower resolution video can be up-scaled to 4k too.
There is even a Phono MM input ideal for those precious vinyls. It supports Many sound formats, including Audyssey DSX by using the 32-Bit SHARC DSP from Analog Devices and ensures that set-up and operation is quick and easy via the MultEQ XT auto-calibration and high resolution Graphic User Interface. The AV7701 Pre-amplifier can upscale HDMI video signals free from the HDCP2.2 protocol to 4K (3,840 by 2,160 pixels), providing four times the picture quality of 1080p. This enables you to use it with 4K monitors & video projectors. The preamp also supports traditional 1080p upscaling, making it suitable for use with most HDTVs. Controlling the preamp's upscaling settings is easy, thanks to an intuitive on-screen overlay.

Vivid 3D Visuals with Pass-Through and Color Depth

The AV7701 Pre-amplifier passes through 3D signals from your Blu-ray player. The preamp also supports Deep Color and x.v.Color content, which can display a larger color range than standard-definition schemes and delivers a more vibrant, lifelike picture.

Seven HDMI Inputs for Multiple Connections

With seven HDMI inputs and three HDMI outputs, this pre-amplifier can connect to a variety of HDMI-enabled devices, including set-top boxes, Blu-ray players, game systems, and media players. It also supports simultaneous dual HDMI outputs as well as a third discrete HDMI output, so you can output a single video source to two different displays and a second source to a third display at the same time.

Finally, this preamp cannot pass through Ultra 4K bluray movies that have the HDCP2.2 copy protection protocol embedded. However, most Ultra 4K bluray players have two HDMI outputs, one for audio output and one for Ultra 4K video. The audio goes to the Marantz AV7701 and the video output connects to your Ultra 4K TV projector or Ultra 4K TV set. Thus playback of the High Definition audio & copy protected Ultra 4K picture is achieved.
