DESCRIPTION
Ambience Centre Speaker: A RIBBON CENTRE SPEAKER from famed Australian manufacturer Ambience. This is the original ribbon hybrid centre as shown here not the current one shown on the Ambience website. Also unlike our illustration shown the item we are offering has a BLACK FRAME and BLACK GRILLE CLOTH. Specifications and dimensions: Ribbon section crimped metal type ribbon in a separate enclosure measuring 1320 mm wide x 200 mm tall x 150 mm deep. Bass section 170 mm SEAS woofer custom made for Ambience in a separate enclosure measuring 370 mm wide x 200 mm tall x 270 mm deep. The hybrid combination has a crossover at 350Hz 18db per octave and sensitivity is 89db (1 metre with 2.83 volts input). Nominal impedance is 4.3 ohms and power handling is 150 watts (undistorted signal long term) Suitable for amplifiers rated from 30 watts r.m.s up to 150 watts r.m.s. undistorted. This centre speaker has been primarily designed for large screen projection situations and is not magnetically shielded. The Bass Box generally sits behind the ribbon speaker with the speaker lead connections made via the through terminals on the Bass Box. This is an amazing centre speaker that compliments the wonderful Ambience hybrid ribbon front speakers. A speaker for the discerning listener as are all Ambience ribbon speaker systems!Colour: BLACK with BLACK GRILLES.
