DESCRIPTION

Game fishing requires a reel that can stand up to huge amounts of pressure for long periods of time, and the Shimano Tiagra TI Overhead Reel more than lives up to this expectation. Heat is a big issue, with fish pulling the line of the reel and heating up the drag. To prevent this, Shimano have created a hydrothermal Drag System, which compensates for heat build-up and maintains a constant drag-setting. The drag washer is made from graphite and prelubricated to protect the reel from salt water, and ensure it will always run smoothly. Adding to the strength, there's 4 A-RB anti-rust bearings, machined aluminium frame and sideplates, and a cold-forged aluminium stool, all of which gives you a line capacity of 14kg and 640m - great for big fighting...
