TVAN

Manufactured in Melbourne by Track Trailer, the TVAN is an extraordinary camper trailer that provides unrivalled levels of comfort, equipment and performance. The TVAN concept is well-proven and has received multiple awards since first being released to the market. Track Trailer provide an unrivalled warranty and have an enviable reputation for their unique MC2 suspension.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

At Horizon Campers we stock each TVAN with all the basic equipment to allow a family of four to travel in confidence. Put simply, customers only need to bring their own chairs, pillows, linen, food and personal items. And we also have a range of optional extras to make your trip even more enjoyable (see Rates & Bookings page for prices).

Standard items include:

Queen size mattress (bedding stays made up all the time)
New Quick Awning with poles, pegs and guy ropes (or equivalent roll out awning)
Rear insect screen for fast overnight stops
Mattress protector
Window curtains
Door mat
Food grade hose and tap fittings for refilling the water tank
1 shovel
2 saucepans, 1 frypan, 1 kettle, 1 chopping board
Cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery for 4
1 tea towel, washing detergent, sponge and dish rack
Dust pan and hand broom
1 x 15A extension lead (to charge batteries when at Caravan Parks)
2 gas cylinders (2nd one full – one could be partially used)

Electric brakes with independent on-board brake controller
90min hire induction to ensure you are comfortable operating the TVAN
CHARGING THE TVAN BATTERIES

Horizon Campers order TVANs with the optional battery upgrade and roof mounted 120w solar panel. It is the responsibility of the hirer to manage power consumption and prevent discharging of the batteries below 50% (the intelligent battery monitor provides this information). We have travelled for up to two months without using external power to charge the TVAN batteries, relying only on the Anderson Plug and solar panel.

If you’re running a fridge from the TVAN, it is strongly recommended to have an Anderson Plug fitted to your tow vehicle or hire the optional generator to recharge the batteries when necessary. Without an alternative power source (Anderson Plug, generator or 240v supply at Caravan Parks) the batteries will discharge to the minimum 50% within three days in warm conditions. The on-board battery charger will automatically charge and cut out when the 15Amp extension lead is connected to the TVAN’s external power socket.

TVAN HIRE RATES
Minimum 1-week hire (7 days) is $990, plus $143/day for part week
There is a minimum 2-week hire period for all QLD School holidays

OTHER COSTS
Security Deposit is $2,000 and must be paid prior to collection of the TVAN
Booking fee is $990 (equivalent to minimum hire period) and must be paid before Horizon Campers will confirm a Rental Agreement
Late return fee is $250 (per day)
Recovery fee is $250 (per day), plus towing costs
Cancellation fee is $990
Cleaning fee is $250 minimum (if returned dirty)
