Features & Uses:
Resharpenable. Use on medium to hard materials. For countersinking and deburring in a wide range of materials including ferrous and non-ferrous metals The three fluted countersink is self centering with wide flutes and is used to provide a heavy chamfer in the entrance to a drilled hole. This may be required to allow the correct seating for a countersunk head screw or to provide the lead in for a second machining operation such as tapping. Gold Finish TiN Coating (Titanium Nitride) helps to dissipate heat and reduces friction and cold welding. The coating allows higher speed and feed rates and tool life is greatly increased. The TiN coating is achieved by Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD).
