1.6MM 2% LANTHANATED TIG TUNGSTEN ELECTRODE PACK OF 10 - T16L2

 

Lanthanated electrodes are suitable for applications in DC and AC welding. Their main areas of application are the welding of non-alloyed and high-alloyed steel, aluminium, titanium, nickel, copper and magnesium alloys. These electrodes are also suitable for use in micro-plasma welding.
Ignition characteristics are enhanced with increased amounts of lanthanum oxide (La2O3). 
Colour-coding: WLa 10 = Black / WLa 15 = Gold / WLa 20 = Blue

Both 1.0% and 2% lanthanated tungsten electrodes offer excellent arc starting at low amperages.
Best long electrode life and stability with a low burn-off rate.
lanthanated tungsten electrodes are often used in critical applications, such as in the aviation industry.
Can be used to replace thoriated tungsten electrodes.
Works well on AC or DC electrode negative.
Won’t flake and break down

Like ceriated electrodes, allow the arc to be started and maintained at lower voltages.
