It is with sluggish energy and a heavy heart I am offering my tiny home for sale!
This is a unique build, using insulated panels for a wonderful steady temp (indoor plants thrive in there!). Beautiful natural light, high end fittings in the kitchen and bathroom. It has free standing stairs setup for a cat or small dog (pet hutch for bed or litter tray and pet door to the outside to your garden or pet run). The tiny house has two bedrooms on at the bottom level at the back and also a loft which has been extended to allow for a large bathroom below. The bathroom is fitted out with a rain shower head and vanity and tiled floor as well as a timber mirror. There is space for a composting toilet however as I had an outhouse where I was living I put a shelf in this space.
Amazing things about this tiny house: It is always a really nice temperature. It has natural light that makes you feel super healthy and regulates your sleeping and connection to nature beautifully. It has a spacious loft with slide double windows either side to catch cross breeze and look out of. It has moveable free standing stairs that are solid and sturdy. It has a super nice bathroom and a big shower with easy clean surfaces. It has a HUGE farmhouse sink and detachable faucet that is really cool (wash your kid in here or pets!). There is storage in the large kitchen corner cupboard and in the stairs. There are some items I have bought for the tiny house that if you need you may take along with it (tiny oven, tiny very quiet awesome fridge, kitchen island/storage with a granite top, ikea plug in hot plate, and a traditional Japanese tatami woven mats under a shikobuton cotton pad bed (this is obviously personal preference however this bed allows the max airflow and minimum height for a loft setup and can be folded up to conserve space and aires and beaten outside on a warm day to air/regulate hygiene - I think its rad). There is a gas bottle connection for easy hot water. This leads to the things that need some love by the new owner.
Things for new owner to know about: The hot water unit needs to be switched out ($800, the unit has cracked in the cold I think in Burra) I am happy to give the fridge with same value. Adjust and finish the floating floor boards, OR remove as polyurethaned high quality marine ply is under these. I have a dog so it was an after thought and job I didnt finish to add floating floor on top. You may take the flooring if you want it or remove and have as is. You will need to have electric brakes and towing capacity to move 3 tonnes (it is likely less, but lets be safe!) I used a professional towing company when I moved it which I recommend! I will give you the 80cm hitch I bought for this job. The stands that came with this tiny home have bent and broken with time as they are not actually as it turns out capable of supporting the weight of even at 2 tonnes or less tiny house. Things you learn! I have it up on caravan stands I purchased prior to its last move and I can give these over, but you will need to hire or buy a very big industrial jack to hoist up the house at the time of towing. The ceiling lighting was never installed! I used one lamp, natural light and that was it and I never needed more lights so I never have them added! This means there is electrical sitting and ready for lights. It has live (lots) of power points in every
Price: I spent $45k on this tiny house and over the years the materials and cost of a lock up plug and play tiny home has gone up. The reason for the only slightly higher price of $48500 is because I believe in the tiny house movement and principles of customising and creating your own small shelter for a self sufficient life. And also I am aware of the few things left to complete (I loved the house as my home not complete but I know for some unfinished bits will require some work.
