QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
How much water does a tablet treat?
This will always depend on the water quality. I always suggest using 1 tablet per 500 liters for the 20grm tablet and 1 tablet for 100 liters for the 4 grm tablet if the tank has never been treated before.
If the tank is good quality and it is just a precautionary measure they can treat 4 times as much as the doses I just mentioned.
How often do I need to treat my water?
This will depend on the incoming water source. If it is rainwater I would recommend a maintenance dose of once every couple of months.
If at any time you notice discolouration, odour or bad tasting water you should then reapply the maintenance dose.
How do I know if my water is safe to drink?
Bacteria breeds and colonizes in the pipes and the walls of the tanks.
Chlorine and UV will not affect the biofilm hence will not reduce bacteria levels in the biofilm.
CleanOxide(Chlorine Dioxide)tablets are a way to reduce the bacteria levels in your biofilmby 99% .(If using the correct dose rate) especially in the summer months when Bacteria will multiply at a much faster rate.
There are also cases of dead animals getting stuck in drains etc so using our product is a safety precaution for this occurrence.
Do we clean water tanks out?
No we do not but we still recommend using our product even if people do have their tanks cleaned out.
On some occasions using our product will eliminate odour and biofilm in tanks, which prevents the need for a tank cleanout.
Can I treat my tank and then use the water on my garden?
Yes Cleanoxide can be used on Gardens etc
Can I drink the water after I treat it?
We recommend to wait 24 hours before drinking treated water. This will also depend on the dose rate used. If the dose rate of 4PPM is used we recommend waiting 24 hours before drinking the water. If rates of 1 PPM are used it is safe to drink immediately.
