A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter is a requirement of the ABYC where a power point is mounted in a head, galley, machinery space or on a deck area exposed to weather. The GFCI operates on the same principal as an earth leakage circuit breaker, measuring active and neutral current flow in and out of the unit. The unit will immediately trip when a difference of 30mA is recorded between active and neutral current. Ideally suited for a power supply where electrical appliances are used
outdoors or near water.
