To satisfy the ever increasing demand for smaller craft to be fitted with bow thrusters Lewmar
In designing this new thruster, Lewmar has given critical consideration to key areas such as weight and compactness. At a height of just maximising the thrusters leverage over the vessel to provide fast and accurate response to control movements.
The powerful electric motors have rated thrust and provide long run times with a typical duty cycle of seven minutes.
To reduce weight and minimise complicated maintenance, high strength composite materials have been utilised in areas such as the gearbox hub and mounting saddle. The optimised composite five bladed propeller supplies perfectly even thrust in both directions, effortlessly providing maximum manoeuvrability and control while remaining quiet under operation.
Simple plug and play electrical connection cable links the thrusters to the Lewmar fully functional remote joystick control panel. Featuring on/off illumination and easy installation these controls are sold separately as is the selection of connection leads ranging from 7 to 18 metres in length.
