Banora Point is a town located in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia in Tweed Shire. The town is largely suburban although it has also become a hub for small businesses with a growing commercial market and shopping precincts. A number of schools, both public and Catholic, are also situated in the region. Demographically, families and retirees account for much of its growing population.

Centrally located, Banora Point has so much to offer the whole family with great entertainment with clubs such as Twin Towns Services Club, Club Banora, Coolangatta/Tweed Heads Golf Club, Tweed Heads Bowls Club, South Tweed Bowls Club and Seagulls. Theme parks such as Movie World, Dreamworld, Wet’n’wild, Seaworld, a mere 45 minute drive and a variety of movie cinemas of your choice.

If it’s sport that takes your fancy, you have a variety of 1st class golf courses and bowling greens to choose from, some of the best surfing and family friendly beaches in Australia, tennis and cricket to name just a few and all within close proximity.

Located just a 15 minute drive away is Greenmount beach, just one of the famous beaches of the Gold Coast. Kingscliff and Casarina precincts are 15 minutes to the south and world re-known Byron Bay only a short 45 minute scenic drive away.

Fly into either the Gold Coast Airport (a 10 minute drive) or to the CBD of Brisbane, 1 hour away. Bus services run constantly or you have access to Uber or taxis.

WEATHER:

Summer in Banora Point is between December and February and maximum daily temperatures average between 26.8 and 28°C with overnight minimums averaging between 19.7 and 20.9°C. Summer days are balmy, averaging around 28 °C in the hottest months. Sunscreen and hat recommended.
Winter is between June and August and maximum daily temperatures average between 20.3 and 20.9°C with overnight minimums averaging between 10.3 and 11.5°C. Winter days in Banora Point are moderate but can be slightly cool if windy, dropping to around 19.3 °C. on average.

HOTELS/MOTELS:

There are no fewer than 35 hotels/motels to choose from in the immediate vicinity ranging from budget stays to 5 star accommodation. There is the well-regarded Palazzo Versace, Marriott and Star Casino all within an hour’s drive from Banora Point.

RESTAURANTS AND NIGHTLIFE:

You will find numerous 1st class restaurants within a ½ hour radius with a wide variety of cuisines. Try the fresh seafood caught by the local trawlers as well as the local oysters and crabs. The major clubs offer a variety of restaurants within the one venue. Specialty cafes are plentiful in the Tweed area from beach locations to the hinterland or visit the shopping centres.
Dancing, social activities or gambling on the poker machines are available at our numerous clubs all within a short drive. The night strip of the Gold Coast has clubs of all tastes to suit everyone. Dance the night away until the wee hours or simple enjoy an elegant meal and drink overlooking the fabulous beaches.

SCHOOLS:

There is a broad range of schooling both in Primary and Secondary on offer in this region, 5 of which are ranked from 73% to 94% in the State. Lindisfarme Anglican Grammar, St James Primary School, Terranora Public School, Banora Point Public School and Centaur Public School are all within close proximity to Altitude Estate with other schools also available. There is a wide variety of childcare facilities to select from.

SPORTS:

Due to our climate, sports play a major role with residence and visitors to the area. If water sport is your fancy, there is surfing, diving, skiing, canoeing, fishing and beach walks in our copious waterways and beaches. Play a round of golf or bowls or enjoy catching a game of football in any of the codes, hockey, cricket, soccer, netball or volleyball at the numerous venues. The Magic Millions is an annual event at the Gold Coast Racecourse or visit the local Murwillumbah track for regular events. If you like a more sedate type of activity, many clubs offer competition pool and darts for your enjoyment.

SIGHTSEEING:

If bushwalking is your thing, the gorgeous Mt Warning, Mt Tamborine, Springbrook and the Natural Arch are a must. There are Tweed River cruises, Reef fishing, Whale watching, Learn to Surf, Catch a Crab cruises all on the Tweed or venture to one or all of the theme parks only a 45 minute drive away.

SHOPPING CENTRES:

The Tweed area has two shopping precincts to choose from with variety of over 200 retail stores for your convenience. Pacific Fair is the largest regional shopping centre in Queensland and is located 45 minutes north on the Gold Coast.

Becoming a Real Estate Agent was a natural progression for me some 10 years ago. When my Builder husband, Noel and I got married in the 90s we built speculative homes to sell to purchasers in Coolangatta/Tweed Heads region. We would create our own designs; Noel would build the homes and I would produce the colour schemes. This was a passion for us and we continued to create beautiful homes for 10 years until we moved to Gladstone for a position offered to Noel which was too good to refuse.

I knew I always enjoyed the real estate industry from creating our own builds and viewing numerous designs and styles to then selling other people’s passion and dreams. I obtained my license in 2011 and was selling residential homes, rural properties and some commercial properties. Since moving back home in 2020, I have obtained my Principal Licenses which allows me to operate my business in both Queensland and New South Wales.

As I have horses that I show and breed with, I’m very familiar with the type of land and area suitable for their needs.
