The original Roland 100m PCS-16 cables stick out 65-70mm and can easily be knocked or pushed against a wall which damages the 100m module sockets.
These low profile cables only sick out 20mm, the same as the power cable, so the 100m cabinet can be closer to the wall and the cables fit snugly and don't move in the sockets.
