Arkak 730 Portable 12v Power Station - Lithium Battery Compatible
Place a 12V battery inside, and the ArkPak becomes a 12V battery charger, a portable power station, a battery management system and a dual-battery system all rolled into one - which can be re-charged in 4 ways, including DC-DC from your vehicle whilst you are on the move.
Whether you need portable power on the work site or a second battery to run the fridge, an auxiliary battery box is the perfect solution. The ArkPak AP-730 provides 12V and 240V power, can be used as a 12V battery charger, battery management system, and a dual-battery system all in one.
ArkPak 730 features 7 stage AC & DC smart charger to maintain battery condition -Â 240V and 12V Portable Power - anytime, anywhere
The ArkPak AP-730 is compatible with all 4WD batteries, including lithium, lead acid, calcium, gel and AGM of up to 130Ah in size. A time-saving feature is the easy step-by-step guide that takes you through the new battery set-up process, remembers the last battery you used, and will warn you if thereâs a fault with the battery. Once youâve dropped in your battery, ARK tells us youâll get up to three days of continuous 240V power, or up to seven days of 12V power from a 130Ah deep-cycle battery based on the power consumption of a 37L fridge/freezer.
If youâve got someone in the family who simply wonât leave home without their slice of technology, a built-in 300W inverter provides 240V power without the need to run an external inverter or additional cabling. Power is delivered through the 240V mains socket, two 12V cigarette lighter ports, a 5V USB connection, external high-current terminals or via the 50A Anderson plug, all of which can be used simultaneously.
As well as being a portable power station, the ArkPak has a built-in 7AMP seven-stage Smart Charger. Itâs designed to regulate the charge to the internal 12V battery throughout its life just by leaving it plugged in at home. So you donât have to worry about checking the battery every few hours, the ArkPak has a Time Tracker function. Itâs essentially an on-board microprocessor that constantly assesses the state of the battery. It tells you both the percentage of battery remaining, and the number of hours until itâs full during charging via an interactive LCD screen.
A beaut feature for those struggling to find room for a second battery under your bonnet is the now inlcuded DC-DC 12V Car Charger that lets you charge up and run your ArkPak via your vehicleâs 12V lighter socket. What this means is you can charge your ArkPak using the 4WDâs alternator just like a conventional dual-battery system.
If youâre staying in the one place for a while and donât want to flatten your starting battery, you can also recharge your ArkPak using the 240V charging adaptor, the Anderson plug, or even via solar panels.

How long will it last? It depends on the overall current draw of your appliances, we tested the ArkPak fitted with a 130Ah battery and it ran a 37L Portable fridge for up to 7 days.
What is the built in charger? The built in charger is now a 7amps for both AC & DC now on the ArkPak AP-730 smart charger designed to charge, condition and maintain the battery. This charger works from 240V mains power or through your vehicles 12V socket with the now included DC-DC car charge adaptor.
What types of batteries are compatible with the ArkPak? The ArkPak can accept Lead Acid, GEL, AGM, LiFePO 4Â and Calcium batteries. With the initial setup of the ArkPak simply choose your battery type and size and the ArkPak will tailor the usage and charge rate based on your choice.
What type of inverter is in the ArkPak AP-730? The ArkPak has a built in 300W continuos 600w peak modified sine wave inverter.
Will the modified sine wave inverter damage my electronic equipment? Unfortunately there is a misconception about modified sine wave (MSW) inverters in the market; in short most portable electronic equipment that you will be using with the ArkPak while out camping, use a transformer which generally converts your homeâs 240V AC power to 12V DC then charges the device. So whether you are using a Modified Sine Wave inverter or a Pure Sine Wave (PSW) inverter, the applianceâs transformer is giving the electronic device the necessary current and voltage it requires to operate safely.
Can I charge from my vehicles 12V outlet with the AP-730? Yes, you can charge the ArkPak from your vehicleâs 12V socket utilizing then now included DC-DC car charge adaptor. You need to ensure your vehicleâs 12V socket is rated to 120W and fused at 15amps.
How much is the DC-DC car charge adaptor? Now included with the Arkpak AP-730 version   Â
Can I charge from Solar Panels? Yes, you can connect your solar panels directly to the top terminals or accessory socket on the ArkPak AP-730, this method charges the battery directly and bypasses the built in charger. Â You just need to make sure you have a solar charge controller so that it stops charging your battery when it reaches the maximum recommended voltage charge for that battery.
Can I charge from my vehiclesâ alternator? Yes, you can charge from your vehiclesâ alternator by setting up the ArkPak as an auxiliary battery through a dual battery system, this method charges the battery directly and bypasses the built in charger. Â Â Â
Does my alternator fully charge my batteries? Alternators pump out up to 14.1V only, most batteries require a charge rate of 14.4 -14.7V to properly give the battery 100% charge. The built in charger of the ArkPak gives each battery type the correct charge rate to ensure the batteries are 100% charged every time.
Can I charge from a generator?   Yes, you can charge from a generator using the 240V adaptor or if the generator has charging leads you can connect them to the top terminals on the ArkPak.   Â
Can I charge and use the ArkPak at the same time? Yes.  All sockets are input-output sockets and can be used simultaneously   Â
Can I jumpstart vehicles with the ArkPak? Yes, you can jumpstart from the ArkPak â provided the battery you place in the ArkPak has high cold cranking amps which are designed to start vehicles.
