Buongiorno, its the beautiful Carmela here! I am a special little lady who is looking for an amazing and dedicated forever family.

I am a bit of mystery to my shelter parents but they are discovering so many good things about me. I try my best to be as brave as I can be and have slowly come out of my shell, but my new family will need to understand to go slow with me and let me warm up to you in my own time. I am still learning manners and building confidence, so it will be best if my home had no young children - they can also make me quite the nervous Nellie! Any children in the home will need to meet me at the appointment too.

Once I have settled and decompressed in my new home for the first couple of weeks, I would love the opportunity to go see a force-free trainer to learn all the important skills a young girl like me needs. Force-free means I can learn using only ethical and modern methods, which will be super important for allowing me to grow up into a healthy young lady! It will be really important for me to be allowed mostly inside in my new home where I can be a real part of the family.

I have met a couple of friends here at the shelter, and I still have a lot to learn when it comes to interacting appropriately with dogs! If you have a social and tolerant male dog at home, we can meet here at the shelter and see if we want to be friends or not - sounds exciting!
