1969 Kawasaki 350 Avenger
For Japan, the 1960âs was the boon era for their emerging motorcycle manufacturing industry, not dissimilar to the 1900âs US auto industry. Full of enthusiasm and an eagerness to experiment with new technology and ideas to satisfy a rapidly expanding marketplace.
One of the most ostentatious of the pioneering companies was Kawasaki. Its range included rotary-valve induction singles and twins such as the lovely 1969 350 Avenger A7SS twin, which ruled the streets until the arrival of the vaunted Kawasaki H1 500cc triple. In the late 60âs early 70âs, almost nothing else on the street, irrespective of displacement, could dispatch the Avenger in the red-light drag-fight.
