Brunswick Diesels is a family-owned and -operated Western Australian Company, run by Greg and Sue Jones. Our business is located at 16 Papps Road, Brunswick Junction. We employ 16 dedicated staff, including qualified trades such as heavy duty diesel mechanics, auto electricians and air conditioning technicians, boiler makers and radiator technicians.

We started Brunswick Diesels during 1987, in our back yard shed. Greg was working a shift roster and Sue was at home with our two small children manning the phones. We managed as a team to remove the old engine from our vehicle, and replace it with a new and improved 6.2 and 6.5 litre Chevrolet engine. Over the last 27 years, the business has grown from the back yard shed to the large, modern and well-equipped workshop we have today.


Brunswick Diesels imports the brand-new Chevrolet 6500 Optimizer as well as the P400 Cobra V8 Diesel engines direct from the United States. We install these engines into most popular makes of four-wheel drive vehicles, such as the Nissan Patrol and the Toyota Landcruiser. We also have fully remanufactured 6.5-litre Chevrolet diesel engines in stock as well as offering new and remanufactured engines in kit form, which can be shipped Australia-wide. In addition to this, we offer a vast range of replacement parts for the Chevrolet diesel engines.

Vehicles come from all over Australia to be converted with this powerhouse engine. Customers often truck their vehicle across country or take the opportunity for a road trip and opt to drive over. Many customers then have a holiday using one of our complimentary loan cars while their vehicles are being converted.

Brunswick Diesels also offers a service centre for all makes and models of vehicles, both 2WD and 4WD. Whether it is a routine service, custom radiator or paint work, we can take care of your vehicle.

During 2006, we became a licensed motor vehicle dealership to enable us to sell converted vehicles direct to our customers. Fully converted vehicles are held in stock and are ready to hit the road. If we don’t have the vehicle you are after, Greg will source one and convert it to your specifications and budget.
