The Bentley Continental Flying Spur, unveiled at the prestigious Geneva Motor Show in March 2005, marked a pivotal moment in Bentley's storied history. It was the first entirely new design unique to Bentley in 70 years, distinguishing the brand from its former owner, Rolls-Royce. The Continental was designed by Belgian-born Dirk van Braeckel, with chief inspiration drawn from the iconic 1952 R-Type Continental 4-seat coupé—a model revered for its elegance and performance, embodying the essence of Bentley's design philosophy.
