The ECXR takes all of the construction of its premier Off-Road cousin, the ECX whilst bringing it to a whole new level!

If it aint broke, dont fix it. But no one said you couldn’t improve it! At Elross we follow the Kaizen Principle of manufacturing. Always seeking continuous improvement. Weve spent the best part of eighteen months refining and developing incremental improvements to our tried and tested Elross in house fabricated chassis. The result is a lighter, stronger and improved overlanding frame that is the corner stone of every Elross build and exceeds the requirements of ADR62.

The key design elements of the new Gen2 Elross Chassis is the use of full box tube support rails that intersect the X axis main bearers that run the entire length of the van, along with new triangular gussets and a new exterior rail capture system designed in house to improve our already superior body building technique and capture of our EPS panel. This enables for a clean and strong chassis that offers both torsional rigidity and flexibility, rolled into the one platform. Further Improvements include a reduced step box height to increase ground clearance, removal of the departure angle for weight saving due to the natural increased height, as well as modifications to the hitch receivers. Couple this with a lengthy draw bar design philosophy and carefully calculated axle position helps Elross to create one of the safest, strongest and best towing chassis on the market.

The ECXR features one of the best suspension systems on the market, the Crusisemaster ATX airbag. Sparing no expense, the ATX by cruisemaster features a sleeve over airbag, by airbag man, Cruisemaster’s M46 remote revisor adjustable tuning damper and the choice of Drum or hydraulic Disc brake. If you want the very best system on the market this is for you!

Your ECXR is fitted standard with our Off grid Plus+ package which entails a 1.15KW Light weight Solar Array* (with Anderson for additional feed in) , Red Arc’s NEW ATS (auto Changeover) RS3 3000w Inverter, A Red Arc Red Vision TVMS1280 Distribution box, a massive Red Arc Alpha Manager 100 amp Charging system, along with a hefty 600A/H lithium Battery bank produced by MPS battery systems made in Australia, this is the ultimate Off grid solution. This system powers the needs of todays adventurers’ that want those long days off grid, to power their AC unit, induction cooktops, fridges and many other 240v or 12v appliances until their hearts content, with out the need to grab and pack that heavy gen set.

Elross’s Body building technique continues to be unique in caravan manufacturing sector, utilizing our own EPS panel core and Colourbond steel for our roof and wall construction. 50mm in thickness, our panels provide superior strength and thermal properties for our harsh WA climate and come with a FR fire rating.

Our external moulds serve not only an aesthetic purpose but provide structural rigidity to our advanced body technology. Our primary engineering purpose and function is to ensure the chassis, floor and walls all work together as a load bearing structure, not our furniture. This reduces the stress and fatigue that our furniture is subject to, removing the necessity of arches, or the furniture to be relied upon to hold the wall structure together.

Allowing our walls to sit in a purpose designed and engineered chassis rail channel, further improve the sealing and protection of your caravan from the external elements.

All of our External storage doors are custom designed and fabricated in house at Elross caravans allowing the ability to provide a clean, modern and integrated look, but also offer flexibility and customisation to fit slides, fridges and other bespoke options for your build.

Additionally, constructing our own doors in house, allows for every single compartment lock and toolbox locks to be keyed alike, so no more key chains that have hundreds of keys to operate your vehicle.

The ECXR comes std with our Deluxe design toolbox, addressing client requests over the past few years for more storage solutions externally.

The Deluxe toolbox delivers 1427L of capacity, nearly three times the amount of storage space found on the Standard toolbox offered on the ECX.

The Deluxe toolbox features two wide 800x850mm door opening at either end, which gives you room to store things such as your Weber Q or Ziggy on one side and space for your backup generator on the other. Above these you will find a full-length shelf unit that spans the entire width of the toolbox, which provides adequate storage room for pole carriers, fishing rods, Camp chairs and even small fold up tables.

At the front apron the second compartment can be found which stores your 4kg gas bottle holders and has enough room for wood box storage, jerry can holders, hoses and other caravan accessories needed for travel.

The front apron design has been constructed to provide protection and deflection against rock strikes and debris. The modular design and engineering that has been developed into this solution allows for easy replacement of the front apron section if the box is ever damaged.

Once again building upon customer feedback, we completely went back to the drawing board when it comes to water filling. Tired of hearing about customers struggling to lock, or lose their filler caps and longer filling times, we created an ideal solution to a simple problem.

The Gen2 Elross water filling system allows for quick, convenient and hassle-free operation. Simply click your hose connection on, open the valved system and fill your tanks easily and fuss free. The Water box is fully lockable, to help keep unwanted hands from tampering with your tanks. The external casing also protects the system from rock strikes and debris. The water pump’s new location also serves to reduce noise, and increase ease of Maintenace or even replacement if needed. It also free’s up space internally inside the van as a result of its new home.

With 320L of water holding - there is no shortage of water holding capability via our custom manufactured Rotomolded water tanks.

It’s no secret that in WA we enjoy a beautiful landscape, but this can also mean that in certain situations travelling to beautiful places can mean a few sacrifices. Often there can be circumstances where there is particularly hard water, and this is the only resource available.

This is where on your ECXR - the Guzzle H20 system is a standard fit - ensuring that your entire water supply is safe for drinking.

The Stealth is a 3 stage onboard water filtration and purification system for the ECXR. Robust filtration for higher volumes of water plus power-efficient and rugged LED UV purification.

Stage 1 is a Sediment Pre-Filtration process that keeps sediment and particulate out of your water system.

Stage 2 is a Carbon Block Filtration process that absorbs chlorine, chemicals, and contaminants. This stage leaves your water tasting great.

Stage 3 is an LED Ultraviolet C Purification process that inactivates at least 99.99% of bacteria, protozoa, and viruses. This stage makes your water safe to drink
