the kiss is a multi-award-winning short film about two teenage girls who seek respite from the stifling summer heat by going for a late night swim in an isolated fire water tank in the Australian bush. The film was written and directed by Ashlee Page and produced by Sonya Humphrey. The script has been adapted from a short story of the same name by Peter Goldsworthy. the kiss runs for fifteen minutes. The film could be shown to middle, senior and tertiary students of English – especially as part of the comparative study of texts, and in Film and Cinema Studies.
