DESCRIPTION

Traditional Chinese cabinet or armoire made of wood with a warm honey-brown finish. It features two doors with decorative panels containing Chinese calligraphy characters. The characters are painted in a darker color against the wood background. The cabinet has brass hardware connecting the doors in the center, and the frame shows typical joinery techniques used in traditional Chinese furniture. Purchased in Shanghai in 1994, estimated age 75 years plus. Has the wax stamp of export from Chinese customs. Dimensions H 1,750mm W 940 mm D 490mm
